    More bad weather for Kentucky

    Just thought I'd give a heads up. It looks like it's headed straight for home guys. I looked at the map on weatherbug set up for Berea, KY and it doesn't look pretty here for this weekend.

    FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE SUNDAY
    NIGHT.



    * OCCASIONAL RAIN...HEAVY AT TIMES...IS EXPECTED FOR A PROLONGED
    PERIOD FROM FRIDAY THROUGH EARLY MONDAY. A COLD FRONT IS
    EXPECTED TO MOVE TOWARDS THE OHIO RIVER EARLY SATURDAY AND THEN
    BECOME NEARLY STATIONARY ACROSS KENTUCKY BY EARLY SUNDAY. A
    STRONG FLOW OF MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO WILL INTERACT
    WITH THIS BOUNDARY AND PRODUCE OCCASIONAL RAIN OVER A TWO TO
    THREE DAY PERIOD. ALTHOUGH THE LOCATION OF THE AXIS OF HEAVIEST
    RAINFALL IS STILL UNCERTAIN...1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN WITH LOCALLY
    HEAVIER AMOUNTS ARE LIKELY.

    * THE UPCOMING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO BRING QUICK RISES TO SMALLER
    STREAMS AND POSSIBLY BRING LARGER RIVERS TO FLOOD STAGE EARLY
    NEXT WEEK. STANDING WATER MAY BECOME A PROBLEM ACROSS FIELDS AND
    OTHER AREAS WITH POOR DRAINAGE.

    * A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
    CURRENT FORECASTS.

    * YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
    FLOOD WARNINGS. PERSONS LIVING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD BE
    PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.

    Get on your weatherbug and type in the zip code 40404 and take a look at the severe weather map. You got watches in portions of Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana and a whole bunch of Kentucky. It looks like it may be headed towards home.

    See, I told ya lol.

    Seriously though, keep a close on what they're saying. They're holding off on issuing on for far eastern KY, for now, seeing what later model runs and other things show. It all depends on where it stalls out and how it wavers, among other things. Someone over there, more likely in the central portion, could see 6+...maybe. With the grounds already saturated, it won't take much to cause serious problems. We need to pay attention to it too. But they haven't said much here on it. Don't think they're overly concerned with us getting the worst of it. By the way, severe storms may be a part of that all too.

    Wise Co. is thoroughly saturated (at least the east side). 2-3" of rain would result in some localized flooding around the Guest and Tom's Creek.

    3-5" would bring about a good bit of flooding.
